The response to the first dress drive was so overwhelming that a second event was organized just weeks later. More volunteers. More fabric. More dresses.
This second round of sewing produced another batch of handmade dresses — each unique, each made with care — to add to the collection being prepared for delivery to Kasai. The energy in the room was joyful and purposeful. People who had never met became friends over the hum of sewing machines and the shared purpose of doing something good.
All dresses were packed and prepared for the next mission trip, where they would be distributed to girls in Mpiana Ntita. A simple dress. A profound message: you are not forgotten.
